Neal Anderson

Neal formed valley training in 1995. He graduated from Swansea University in 1987 in Mechanical Engineering then in 1994 from Loughborough University with a Masters in Recreation Management. After early years with Lucas Aerospace working on development projects for several aircraft including AIRBUS A320/330 and the European Fighter Aircraft, he planned an escape to an American summer camp. It was time for a major life change.


Having found something he loved and also excelled at, Neal began developing his approach to inspiration and self belief using the natural world to stimulate and challenge. He has a passion for helping business achieve strategic change and has acted as consultant to projects for charities, local councils and outdoor centres. He has worked as Manager and as Director of several centres and secured the turnaround of business for the St. Albans Centre in Lyme Regis to pioneering environmental adventure programmes.


Working with people to help them achieve their potential has always been a key motivation for Neal, Currently he combines running valley training with work as a Mental Combat trainer, an Associate trainer with Brathay Hall and Outward Bound Professional. When away from working, he has been seen competing at the Karrimor International Mountain Marathon for the last 5 years (still waiting for the perfect run).
